A New (Old) Way of Eating

So I can finally admit that yes, apparently I have been a bit angry. However, contrary to certain opinions this anger was not necessarily a result of past issues but rather my diet. Yes you read correctly...my DIET!! My diet which has completely mangled my hormones, moods, etc. I discovered this while completing the Wholefood30 eating plan. No grains of any kind, no sugar or sweeteners of any kind other than those that are in whole fruit and vegetables, no dairy of any kind, only healthy fats, proteins, vegetables, some fruit and nuts for 30 days. I feel great!! I have energy, not just during my cyclic nesting phase either, but all day every day. No total drain of energy requiring some shut eye around 2-2:30 pm. Energy and motivation to work on my projects, to walk the dogs, to get back to my blog. No pain upon waking, sleeping soundly, and most surprising of all very little PMS and period pain!! I am completely sold on this way of eating. I do need to cleanup the meats a bit. We generally do not eat beef from the store anyway using local beef and deer for red meats. However, pork and poultry comes from the store so I am now seeking pastured meat sources for those items. If you would like more information please google Wholefood30. It segways well into the Paleo eating style which is how I am now eating and intend to continue to eat. Contrary to what some think I am in no way suffering from lack of variety or good food. In fact I say I am eating better than ever before. Returning to the way 10's of 1000's of years of hunting and gathering has evolved our bodies to eat.
